The Officers of the RNA Society of Japan are pleased to announce that the 20th General Meeting will be held on the second day of the RNA Meeting 2018 in Osaka. Members of the Society are encouraged to attend the Meeting.
Members who are not attending the General Meeting shall send a Letter of Proxy online. The deadline of sending the letter is Sunday, July 1, 2018. Only the members who have paid the annual membership fees for FY2018 can send the Letter of Proxy.
The president of the Kihara memorial foundation asks the president of the RNA Society of Japan to nominate excellent researchers in lifensciences for the 27th Academic Award. The RNA Society of Japan calls for Regular Members who will be nominated by the President.

下記の日本RNA学会員の方が、平成３０年度「科学技術分野の文部科学大臣表彰」の受賞者に決定しました（敬称略）。
記念すべき第20回となる今年の年会を、7月9日（月）～11日（水）の期間、 ホテルコスモスクエア国際交流センター（大阪市）にて開催いたします。年会ホームページを開設すると同時に、事前参加登録、発表演題登録の受付を開始しました。プログラムの内容も順次公開の予定です。

The president of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) asks the President of the RNA Society of Japan to nominate an outstanding doctoral student who can be expected to contribute to Japan’s future scientific advancement for the 9th (FY2018) JSPS Ikushi Prize. 国際生物学賞は、昭和天皇の御在位60年と長年にわたる生物学の御研究を記念するとともに、本賞の発展に寄与されている今上天皇の長年にわたる魚類分類学(ハゼ類)の御研究を併せて記念し、生物学の奨励を目的とした賞です。本賞は昭和60年に創設され、以後毎年1回、生物学の授賞分野を選定の上、当該分野の研究において優れた業績を挙げ、世界の学術の進歩に大きな貢献をした研究者(原則として毎年1人)を選考して、授賞しています。

We are pleased to announce that travel awards to our annual meeting are once again available.
The RNA Society provides travel fellowships in support of researchers who are constrained financially from attending our conference. In most cases, the fellowships will be made in the form of reduced or waived registration fees, although it is possible that some contribution toward travel costs could be made in addition to the fee waiver. Travel reimbursement, if awarded, will be presented in the form of a check that you pick up with your conference materials, or as a credit card reimbursement or an electronic funds transfer from the RNA Society shortly after the close of the conference.
