文部科学省研究振興局から日本RNA学会会長宛てに受賞候補者の推薦の依頼があった平成３０年度科学技術分野の文部科学大臣表彰受賞候補者の推薦について、本学会の正会員から候補者を募集し、選考委員会による選考を経て若干名を推薦することが了承された。選考委員は影山評議員、片岡評議員、鈴木評議員（委員長）で構成することが塩見会長から提案され、了承された。
