The RNA Society of Japan is offering travel fellowships to student members attending 25th Annual Meeting of the RNA Society of Japan. Students, especially those traveling from afar, are encouraged to apply!

This year, about 10 grants of 50,000 yen each are available. 

Application Deadline: The deadline coincides with the abstract submission deadline for the annual meeting.
Notification of Selection: Results will be communicated by email from late May to early June.
Eligibility: Applicants must be student members of The RNA Society of Japan and have registered an abstract for the annual meeting. The applicant's PI may be contacted, so please inform your PI about your application.

RNAJ Domestic Travel Fellowships Guidelines

1. Purpose: The RNA Society of Japan aims to support the development of talented individuals who will contribute to RNA research. This fellowship assists students in attending and presenting at the annual conference. We encourage applications from student members who are actively engaged in RNA research and can contribute to the society through exchanges with other RNA researchers.
2. Eligibility: Applicants must be student members of The RNA Society of Japan and have registered an abstract for the 2024 annual meeting. Only one student per laboratory will be selected.
3. Number of Fellowships and Amount: Travel and accommodation costs, as well as participation fees, will be covered up to 50,000 yen per person. Around 10 grants are planned for this year. The selected applicants will be asked to submit the necessary documents after the RNA Society Annual Meeting. Upon verification of these documents, funds will be directly deposited into the applicant's account.
4. Application Procedure: Applicants should complete the application form, including uploading a PDF of their conference abstract. Please obtain your PI's permission before applying, as we may contact them.

5. Application Deadline: The deadline coincides with the abstract submission deadline for the 25th Annual Meeting of the RNA Society of Japan in 2024.
6. Notification of Selection: The selection committee will choose recipients and notify them via email. Recipients should maintain close contact with the society's office to ensure smooth processing.
7. Selection Criteria: The committee will comprehensively consider the scientific value and significance of the abstract, contributions to the RNA research field, and the need for support. The selection committee consists of the current conference chair and three council-selected committee members.
